Gobierno de Nicaragua envía fraternal saludo al presidente electo de la República de Senegal

Estimado presidente,
En nombre del pueblo heroico y libre de nuestra Nicaragua, del Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional y en nuestro propio nombre, deseamos expresar nuestras más sinceras Felicitaciones a usted por su victoria electoral en las elecciones generales de la República de Senegal.
Nuestros pueblos han luchado heroicamente en contra de la imposición colonial, enarbolando las banderas de la independencia, la soberanía nacional y la autodeterminación, hoy celebramos este triunfo para el pueblo senegalés y para los pueblos africanos.
Reconocemos también los valiosos principios de solidaridad del pueblo senegalés en el respeto por el ejercicio de los derechos inalienables del pueblo palestino a su autodeterminación y libertad.
No podemos olvidar los días especiales del Año 2007, cuando durante nuestra visita a su país, pudimos conocer más de su espíritu luchador y de su afamada literatura y arte que con tanto orgullo representa el hermano Léopold Sédar Senghor, cuya magnífica obra constituye un legado para el patrimonio de Senegal y de la familia humana.
Desde nuestra Nicaragua, siempre bendita y siempre libre, enviamos nuestro fraternal saludo, con la voluntad de continuar estrechando los lazos de amistad que unen a nuestros pueblos y gobiernos y continuar luchando por el desarrollo, la prosperidad y el bienestar de nuestros pueblos.

On behalf of the heroic and free people of our Nicaragua, of the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity and in our own behalf, we wish to express our most sincere congratulations to you for your electoral victory in the general elections of the Republic of Senegal.
Our peoples have fought heroically against colonial imposition, raising the flags of independence, national sovereignty and self determination, today we celebrate this triumph for the Senegalese people and for the african peoples.
We also recognize the Valuable principles of solidarity of the senegalese people in the respect for the exercise of the inalienable rights of the palestinian people to self determination and freedom.
We shall not forget the special days of the Year 2007, when during our visit to your country, we were able to know more of your fighting spirit and of your famous Literature and Art that so proudly represents brother Léopold Sédar Senghor, whose magnificent work constitutes a Legacy for the heritage of Senegal and of the human family.
From our Nicaragua, always blessed and always free, we send our fraternal greetings, with the will to continue strengthening the ties of friendship that unite our peoples and governments and to continue working for the development, prosperity and Welfare of our peoples.
