Nicaragua reitera su firme solidaridad con el Estado de Palestina en Naciones Unidas

La Asamblea General de Naciones Unidas se reunió hoy para debatir sobre el voto negativo de Estados Unidos el pasado 18 de abril en el Consejo de Seguridad, a la solicitud de Palestina para ser miembro pleno de Naciones Unidas.
El Embajador de Palestina, Sr. Riyad Mansour, reiteró que un cese al fuego inmediato en Palestina es indispensable y no puede seguir siendo postergado ante el asesinato en masa indiscriminado, los heridos, la hambruna, el castigo colectivo, así como las detenciones arbitrarias y la tortura.
Expresó que la Admisión del Estado de Palestina a las Naciones Unidas es una señal inequívoca de la autodeterminación del pueblo Palestino, quienes seguirán en su lucha por obtener su lugar de derecho entre la comunidad de naciones.
En representación de nuestro Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional, GRUN, participó el compañero Jaime Hermida Castillo, Embajador, representante permanente de Nicaragua ante las Naciones Unidas, señalando a Estados Unidos de continuar aplicando su política excepcionalista y de obstrucción en el Consejo de Seguridad, permitiendo el genocidio y los crímenes de Israel en los territorios palestinos y Árabes ocupados.
El compañero Hermida reiteró la firme solidaridad de nuestra Nicaragua con el Estado de Palestina y reiteró que el Estado de Palestina debe ser reconocido como miembro pleno de Naciones Unidas, para dar paso a la única solución justa y duradera de dos Estados, siendo esta la aspiración y el consenso de más de dos terceras partes de la membresía en ONU que apoya y reconoce oficialmente al Estado Palestina.
Finalizó afirmando que ya es hora de que Estados Unidos y países europeos recapaciten, que escuchen las voces de la humanidad entera que claman por paz, justicia, libertad, y que reflexionen, que pongan fin a sus injustificables políticas de negación y exclusión de los derechos inalienables del pueblo palestino.

Señor Presidente,
Nicaragua se asocia a la intervención de Uganda en nombre del Movimiento de Países No Alineados.
El pasado 05 de marzo, nos reunimos en esta Asamblea para escuchar la explicación de Estados Unidos quien votó en contra de un cese al fuego permanente en Gaza.
Hoy nos reunimos debido a que Estados Unidos, una vez más votó en contra en el Consejo de Seguridad, en esta ocasión, sobre la aplicación del Estado de Palestina como miembro pleno de ONU, negando así la materialización del Estado de Palestina.
Adicionalmente a este veto, Estados Unidos recién anunció la aprobación de millones de millones de dólares para continuar la agresión y genocidio contra el Pueblo Palestino.
Los pueblos del mundo no están en silencio, se están manifestando, son millones de personas en las calles, en las escuelas, en las universidades incluso en Estados Unidos, protestando, exigiendo un cese al fuego, exigiendo el respeto a la vida, a los derechos inalienables de los palestinos, el fin del genocidio y de la ocupación israelita de todos los territorios ocupados.
Reiteramos que el Consejo de Seguridad debe cumplir sus responsabilidades que le fueron conferidas en la Carta y debe hacerlo con urgencia y sin dobles raseros.
El Gobierno y Pueblo de Nicaragua reitera su firme solidaridad con el Estado de Palestina y condena una vez más este genocidio en Palestina, en violación de la Carta de Naciones Unidas, del Derecho Internacional, el Derecho Internacional Humanitario y la Convención para la Prevención y la Sanción del Delito de Genocidio.
Señor Presidente,
El Pueblo Palestino continúa resistiendo con heroísmo esta barbarie, esta masacre sin precedentes ni escrúpulos. Estamos ante la clara demostración del intento del exterminio de Palestina y su Pueblo.
El Estado de Palestina debe ser reconocido como Miembro Pleno de Naciones Unidas para dar paso a la única solución justa y verdadera, las actuales circunstancias lo confirman y ahora más que nunca, se hace más evidente la urgencia de convocar una Conferencia Internacional sobre Palestina.
Estamos siendo testigos que en el mundo hay un clamor al unísono, Palestina Libre, con la certeza y convicción que el Pueblo Palestino saldrá victorioso en su heroica lucha por materializar su Estado de Palestina Libre, Soberano, Independiente y con Autodeterminación, de conformidad con las fronteras de 1967 y con Jerusalén Oriental como su Capital.
Señor Presidente,
Estados Unidos no puede seguir negando el reconocimiento de un Estado de Palestina en Naciones Unidas, es injustificable e improcedente, esta aberración moral, antiética e inhumana de pretender eternizar el abuso del Veto a la justa aplicación del Estado de Palestina no tiene cabida en las aspiraciones y el consenso de más de dos terceras partes de la membresía en ONU que apoya y reconoce oficialmente al Estado de Palestina.
Saludamos y agradecemos el reciente anuncio de Barbados y Jamaica reconociendo oficialmente a Palestina como Estado, ya somos 142 Estados en estas últimas semanas.
En nuestra América Latina y Caribe, más del 90% de Estados reconocemos a Palestina y esperamos que muy pronto los 3 Estados pendientes anuncien su reconocimiento al Estado de Palestina. Así toda nuestra región de América Latina y el Caribe, que es una zona de paz, habrá reconocido plenamente al Estado de Palestina.
Saludamos los recientes anuncios de varios Estados europeos quienes han manifestado que en las próximas semanas reconocerán oficialmente al Estado de Palestina. Sabemos que esto contribuirá a la solución de dos estados y a la paz en Oriente Medio.
Señor Presidente,
Existe un Consenso Universal en apoyar la Solución de Dos Estados, sencillamente no existe otra solución posible, y para esto, tod@s sabemos que el primer paso es el reconocimiento pleno del Estado de Palestina.
El Consejo de Seguridad aún continúa siendo rehén de la política excepcionalista y de obstrucción de Estados Unidos, permitiendo el genocidio y los crímenes de Israel en los Territorios Palestinos y Árabes Ocupados.
Si realmente se es coherente con el apoyo a la existencia de dos estados, aún con las mejores intenciones, es incongruente y contradictorio apoyar ciegamente a uno de esos Estados y continuar obstruyendo la aplicación de Palestina ser miembro pleno en nuestra Comunidad de Naciones.
Ya es hora de que Estados Unidos y Países europeos recapaciten, escuchen las voces de la humanidad entera que claman por Paz, Justicia, Libertad, y que reflexionen, que pongan fin a sus injustificables políticas de negación y exclusión de los derechos inalienables del Pueblo Palestino.
En estos países recae la responsabilidad histórica ante las generaciones pasadas, presentes y futuras de las consecuencias, del sufrimiento del Pueblo Palestino.

Mr. President,
Nicaragua associates itself with the intervention of Uganda on behalf of the Non-Aligned Movement.
On March 5th we met in this Assembly to hear the explanation of the United States who voted against a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
We are meeting today because the United States once again voted against in the Security Council, this time, on the application of the State of Palestine to be a full member of the UN, thus denying the realization of the State of Palestine.
In addition to this veto, the United States recently announced the approval of billions of dollars to continue aggression and genocide against the Palestinian People.
The peoples of the world are not silent, they are demonstrating, there are millions of people on the streets, in schools, in universities, even in the United States, protesting, demanding a ceasefire, demanding respect for life, for the inalienable rights of the Palestinians, an end to genocide and to the Israeli occupation of all occupied territories.
We reiterate that the Security Council must fulfill its responsibilities conferred on it in the Charter and must do so with urgency and without double standards.
The Government and People of Nicaragua reiterates its firm solidarity with the State of Palestine and condemns once again this genocide in Palestine, in violation of the Charter of the United Nations, International Law, International Humanitarian Law and the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
Mr. President,
The Palestinian People continue to resist with heroism this barbarism, this massacre without precedent or scruples. We are facing a clear demonstration of the attempted extermination of Palestine and its People.
The State of Palestine must be recognized as a Full Member of the United Nations to make way for the only just and true solution, the current circumstances confirm this and now more than ever, the urgency of convening an International Conference on Palestine is becoming more evident.
We are witnessing that in the world there is a cry in unison, Free Palestine, with the certainty and conviction that the Palestinian People will emerge victorious in their heroic struggle to realize their Free, Sovereign, Independent and Self-determined State of Palestine, in accordance with the 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its Capital.
Mr. President,
The United States cannot continue to deny the recognition of a State of Palestine in the United Nations, it is unjustifiable and inappropriate, this moral, unethical and inhuman aberration of trying to perpetuate the abuse of the Veto against the just application of the State of Palestine has no place in the aspirations and consensus of more than two thirds of the UN membership that supports and officially recognizes the State of Palestine.
We greet and thank the recent announcement of Barbados and Jamaica officially recognizing Palestine as a State, we are now 142 States in recent weeks.
In our Latin America and Caribbean, more than 90% of States recognize Palestine and we hope that very soon the 3 States outstanding will announce their recognition of the State of Palestine. Thus our entire region of Latin America and the Caribbean, which is a zone of peace, will have fully recognized the State of Palestine.
We welcome the recent announcements by several European States who have declared that in the coming weeks they will officially recognize the State of Palestine. We know that this will contribute to the two-State solution and to peace in the Middle East.
Mr. President,
There is a Universal Consensus in support of the Two-State Solution, there is simply no other possible solution, and for this, we all know that the first step is the full recognition of the State of Palestine.
The Security Council still remains hostage to the exceptionalist and obstructionist policy of the United States, allowing the genocide and crimes of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian and Arab Territories.
If one is really consistent with supporting the existence of two states, even with the best intentions, it is incongruous and contradictory to blindly support one of those States and continue to obstruct the application of Palestine to become a full member in our Community of Nations.
It is time for the United States and European countries to reconsider, listen to the voices of all humanity crying out for Peace, Justice, Freedom, and to reflect, to put an end to their unjustifiable policies of denial and exclusion of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian People.
These countries bear the historical responsibility to past, present and future generations for the consequences of the suffering of the Palestinian People.
