Señor Presidente,
1.El Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional de Nicaragua, quiere referirse a la forma en que instancias y organizaciones internacionales, como el Consejo de Derechos Humanos, valoran la aplicación de los Derechos Humanos de manera dispar entre los países, y llena de los dobles traseros con las barbaries que cometen los imperialistas y neocolonialistas.
2. Esta valoración desigual, se presta a la manipulación e instrumentalización de los Derechos Humanos para otros fines y pretensiones hegemónicas, derivados de intereses económicos y políticos imperialistas, que afecta la Dignidad y Soberanía de los Pueblos que buscan labrar su propio destino, sin ningún interés foráneo.
3. El enfoque de la promoción, protección y desarrollo de los Derechos Humanos, que este organismo internacional debe impulsar, es la aplicación y fortalecimiento de esos Derechos, en el marco del respeto de la identidad, soberanía y desarrollo histórico de cada país, sin perder de vista la universalidad de los Derechos Humanos, contenidos en las declaraciones, resoluciones, acuerdos y mandatos adoptados, que ponen especial énfasis en la fuentes de obtención de la información para su análisis, la cual debe ser imparcial y objetiva.
Señor Presidente,
4. Este informe incluye una resolución totalmente sesgada sobre Nicaragua.
5. Esta resolución, incluidos los mecanismos adoptados unilateralmente en contra de Nicaragua, tienen como objetivo seguir descalificando y denigrando a nuestras autoridades e instituciones nacionales, así como al ordenamiento jurídico que sustenta al Estado Nicaragüense, sobre la base de información falsa y totalmente parcializada, con la finalidad de inmiscuirse en nuestros asuntos, irrespetando nuestra soberanía e independencia y haciendo eco de la política intervencionista de los Estados Unidos de Norte América y de algunos Países Europeos, para con nuestro Pueblo.
6. Siempre reiteraremos nuestro total rechazo a cualquier tipo de Resolución, que sea parcializada y ajena a los esfuerzos que, como País, hemos venido enfrentando, para dar continuidad al proceso de cambios estructurales que garanticen el progresivo avance en el goce y disfrute de los Derechos Humanos de la Nación nicaragüense, así como el desarrollo sostenible en todo nuestro.
7. Estamos hablando con toda autoridad, del Derecho a la Vida, Derecho a la Salud, Derecho a la Educación, al Trabajo, Derecho al Agua Potable, a la Energía Eléctrica, a la Vivienda, Derechos de la Mujer, Derechos de la Niñez, de la Juventud, de los Adultos Mayores, el combate a la Pobreza Extrema, la erradicación del Analfabetismo, la Seguridad Ciudadana, la Seguridad Jurídica sobre la Propiedad, los Derechos de los Pueblos Originarios y Afro-descendientes, entre otros Derechos, en los que hemos logrado grandes avances.
8. Asimismo, nuestro Gobierno rechaza categóricamente la creación y designación unilateral de un supuesto “Grupo de Expertos sobre Nicaragua”, que se menciona en este Informe.
9. Dicho Grupo no es más que una cortina para aparentar una legalidad inexistente en los informes que preparan sobre Nicaragua, que difunden situaciones y hechos subjetivos, desvirtuados y falsos, sobre nuestra realidad, actuando bajo las directrices de Estados Unidos y algunos Países europeos.
Señor Presidente,
10. Nicaragua nunca, ni ahora, ha sido una amenaza para ningún país del mundo; somos un País pacífico, decente y decoroso en la Comunidad Internacional, que reclama Justicia e Igualdad y por eso demandamos defender los Derechos Humanos de las y los nicaragüenses, que eliminen esas sanciones contra nuestro Pueblo que atacan directamente los Derechos Humanos esenciales de las y los nicaragüenses, constituyéndose en un verdadero crimen de lesa humanidad.
11. Aun así, estas injustas e ilegales medida coercitivas unilaterales contra nuestro País, no nos desaniman, ni nos amedrentan y seguiremos caminando firmes en la lucha por alcanzar el máximo nivel de efectividad de nuestra Democracia Política, Económica y Social.
12. Llamamos a ese Consejo, una vez más, que asuma sus responsabilidades ante la Historia de la Humanidad, reconociendo y respetando el Derecho inalienable de los Pueblos del Mundo a tomar sus propias decisiones y a vivir en Paz, con Soberanía, Respeto y Consideración Humana.

REMARKS BY NICARAGUA
ON THE REPORT OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL
AT THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Mr. President,
- The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of Nicaragua wishes to note the way in which international bodies and organizations, such as the Human Rights Council, evaluate the application of Human Rights in an unbalanced way between different countries, with notable double standards as regards the barbarities committed by the imperialist and neocolonialist countries.
- This unequal evaluation lends itself to the manipulation and instrumentalization of Human Rights for other purposes and hegemonic pretensions, based on imperialist economic and political interests, affecting the Dignity and Sovereignty of Peoples seeking to shape their own destiny, free of external interests.
- The focus of the promotion, protection and development of Human Rights, which this international organization should promote, is to apply and strengthen of those Rights, within the framework of respect for the identity, sovereignty and historical development of each country, without losing sight of the universality of Human Rights, contained in the declarations, resolutions, agreements and mandates adopted, which place special emphasis on the sources from which information is collected for analysis, which must be impartial and objective.
Mr. President,
- This report includes a totally biased resolution on Nicaragua.
5. This resolution, along with the mecha-nisms unilaterally adopted against Nicara-gua, aims to continue deprecating and deni-grating our national authorities and in-stitutions, as well as the legal system sustaining the Nicaraguan State, on the basis of false and totally biased infor-mation, so as to interfere in our af-fairs, disrespecting our sovereignty and independence and echoing the inter-ventionist policy towards our People of the United States of North America and some European Countries.
6. We will always reiterate our total rejection of any kind of resolution, which is bi-ased and which ignores the efforts in which, as a Country, we have been engaging, giving continuity to the process of structural changes that guarantee the progressive progress in the enjoyment of and the participation in the Human Rights of the Nicaraguan Nation, as well as the sustainable development of all our territory.
7. We speak with complete authority about the Right to Life, the Right to Health, the Right to Education, the Right to Work, the Right to Drinking Water, Elec-tricity, Housing, Women’s Rights, the Rights of Children, Youth, the Elderly, the fight against Extreme Poverty, the eradication
of Illiteracy, Citizen Security, Legal Security over Property, the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and Afro-descendants, among other Rights, in which we have achieved great progress.
8. Likewise, our Government categorically rejects the unilateral creation and designation of a supposed “Group of Experts on Nicara-gua,” which is mentioned in this Re-port.
9. This Group is nothing more than a screen offering non-existent legality to the reports they prepare on Nicaragua, which disseminate subjective, distorted and false accounts and facts about our reality, acting in accordance with the guidelines of the United States and some European Countries.
Mr. President,
10. Nicaragua has never, much less now, been a threat to any country in the world; we are a peaceful, decent and dignified Country in the International Community, which demands Justice and Equality and that is why we insist on defending the Human Rights of Nicaraguans, to eliminate the sanctions against our People which di-rectly attack the essential Human Rights of Nicaraguans, constituting a true crime against humanity.
11. In any case, these unjust and illegal unilateral coercive measures against our country do not discourage us, nor do they intimidate us and we will continue to make our way firmly in the struggle to achieve the maximum level of effec-tiveness for our Political, Economic and Social Democracy.
12. We call on that Council, once again, to assume its responsibilities before the history of Humanity, to recognizing and respect the inalienable Right of the World’s Peoples to make their own decisions and to live in Peace, with Sovereignty, Respect and Human Consideration.
