Junio es un Mes que está cubierto por las nubes que traen las lluvias, que traen el Invierno, el Invierno que a pesar de las afectaciones que provoca es imprescindible para la Vida.
Y en el Mes de Junio, cuántos combates se han librado, cuántas batallas, cuántos actos de heroísmo, en Nicaragua, en Nuestramérica Latinoamericana y Caribeña, y en el Mundo. Sí, el Mundo está lleno de hechos heroicos, de hazañas. Así se ha venido caminado a lo largo de la Historia de la Humanidad, en la Lucha por la Paz, y para alcanzar la Paz, en la Lucha por la Soberanía.
Y teniendo Soberanía, no solamente hay Paz, sino que se abren las puertas para la Justicia, se abren las puertas de la Libertad, se abren las puertas de la Salud, de la Educación, de la erradicación de la Pobreza. Y esos son los grandes desafíos, los grandes retos que tiene la Humanidad, que sigue teniendo la Humanidad en estos Tiempos.
Carlos nació para estos días del Mes de Junio, Carlos, aquí acompañado de Tomás y del Coronel Santos López; Santos López que es el eslabón vital entre la batalla de nuestro General Sandino y la continuidad de la Lucha que dio lugar al nacimiento del Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional. Es decir, la batalla de Sandino retomada por el Frente Sandinista con Carlos.
Carlos nació en el año 1936, allá en Matagalpa. Y en el Mes de Junio, el 23 de Junio también del año 1963, de Junio a Octubre se desarrolló la Guerrilla en Río Coco y Bocay. Era la primera Guerrilla del Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional.
En el año 1963 estaba naciendo el Frente Sandinista con esas batallas. Y ahí estaba al frente el Coronel Santos López, estaba Tomás, Modesto Duarte, que lograron ocupar unas Comunidades en la zona de Río Coco, en Walaquistán, en Raití.
Bueno, era una Guerrilla que estaba naciendo, pero vino la ofensiva del Ejército impuesto por los yanquis en Nicaragua, y en esos combates caen los Hermanos Sandinistas, Fundadores del Frente Sandinista, Francisco Buitrago, Jorge Navarro, Iván Sánchez, Boanerges Santamaría, Modesto Duarte y Faustino Ruiz “El Cuje”. Ahí la sangre derramada, para la Vida, ¡para la Vida del Pueblo nicaragüense !
Y en este Mes de Junio, en el año 1979, se está combatiendo en todo Nicaragua, y son los bombardeos aquí en Managua, y el Comandante Francisco Rivera “El Zorro” al frente de las Columnas Guerrilleras en Estelí. Y son los combates en el Frente Sur. Y son los combates en León, y en Chinandega, y en Las Minas, y en toda Nicaragua. Era la Fuerza de Sandino, era la Fuerza de Carlos, la Fuerza del Coronel Santos López, multiplicándose en toda Nicaragua.
Y el 23 de Junio también, del año 2009, no podemos olvidar a ese extraordinario creador, artista, es el creador del Son Nica, Camilo Zapata. Y él está aquí presente también. Camilo falleció el 23 de Junio del año 2009, un día como hoy, y aquí está Camilo con su Canto, iluminando las batallas de este Pueblo, las batallas de esta Juventud.
La verdad es que son innumerables las hazañas de nuestro Pueblo y de los Pueblos Latinoamericanos y Caribeños, para estos días, para estas fechas. Solo basta recordar que estamos en vísperas de esa Heroica Batalla, Gigantesca Batalla, que significó el fin del dominio de España en nuestra América: La Batalla de Carabobo, con el General Simón Bolívar al frente de esa Batalla.
Y para estos días de Junio, el 24 de Junio, es decir mañana, estamos en vísperas, fíjense qué fecha, y pareciera increíble que se produjo ese milagro en su momento, porque en ese día, en esa fecha, se creó la Federación de Provincias Unidas de Centroamérica, ¡unida Centroamérica! Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, una sola Nación, un solo Pueblo.
Lo que hoy es un reto, es un sueño, es un desafío, con la Unidad Latinoamericana y Caribeña alcanzar también la Unidad de los Pueblos Centroamericanos. Somos Hermanos, nacimos juntos en la lucha contra la invasión de los españoles, en la resistencia contra los invasores, en las batallas contra el expansionismo yanqui. Fue Centroamérica con Nicaragua a la cabeza la que derrotó a los Filibusteros aquí en Nicaragua.
Y luego hay innumerables batallas que sería largo enumerar. Y hoy, en este año en donde estamos en el nacimiento de un Nuevo Mundo, sí, está naciendo un Nuevo Mundo, todos los partos son dolorosos y este es un parto de la Humanidad, donde está quedando enterrado el Imperialismo y está naciendo la Democracia con lo que es el Multilateralismo. Los Pueblos creciendo, fortaleciéndose, frente a lo que son los estertores y los zarpazos del Imperialismo. Estamos siendo testigos, Herman@s, de ese Milagro, que és el Milagro de la Resurrección.
Hoy Día del Padre, quien más que el Más Grande Padre que ha tenido la Humanidad, que tenemos todos: ¡Cristo! ¡Cristo! Y Cristo dando su Vida por el Pueblo, por los pobres, por los humildes, y siendo insultado, calumniado, por los falsos Sacerdotes que estaban en los Templos, que eran los que tenían la legitimidad.
Como Cristo no tenía Templo, no le reconocían legitimidad alguna, y creían que Cristo venía a sacarlos del Templo para hacerse dueño de los Templos… ¡No! Cristo venía para levantar el Alma, el Espíritu de los Pobres, de los Campesinos, de los Trabajadores, de la Humanidad, para la Paz y para la Libertad. Ese és el Padre, Padre Nuestro que estás en los Cielos… ¡Padre Nuestro que estás en los Cielos!
Y los Grandes Padres, el Padre Bolívar, el Padre Sandino, el Padre Zeledón, el Padre José Dolores Estrada, el Padre Andrés Castro, levantando la piedra para defender la Soberanía de nuestra Patria, de nuestro Pueblo.
Hoy es el Día de los Padres que aman a la Gran Familia que es la Familia Nicaragüense, y que defienden la Soberanía de la Gran Familia que es la Familia Nicaragüense, y que nos unimos, a la vez, a los Pueblos, a las Naciones que en el Mundo defendemos la Soberanía de los Pueblos.
Y estamos viviendo un momento realmente extraordinario, fantástico, mágico, divino, de la Resurrección de Cristo ahora con la Resurrección de la Humanidad, hundiéndose el Imperialismo y saliendo de los sepulcros los Pueblos, resucitando los Pueblos, uniéndose los Pueblos y ejerciendo la verdadera Democracia en el Mundo, por la Paz, por la Justicia, por la Libertad.

June is a month full of the clouds bringing rains, bringing the season of rains, a season which, despite the difficulties it may cause, is essential for Life.
And in the month of June, how many combats have taken place, how many battles, how many acts of heroism, in Nicaragua, in Our Latin American and Caribbean America, and in the World over. Yes, the World is replete with heroic deeds and feats. This is how we have gone throughout the history of Humanity, in the struggle for Peace, and in order to achieve Peace, in the struggle for Sovereignty.
Having Sovereignty, not only brings Peace, but opens the doors to Justice, opens the doors to Freedom. The doors open to Health, Education and the eradication of Poverty. And those are the great challenges, the great challenges that Humanity has, that humanity continues to have in these times.
Carlos was born in these days of the month of June, Carlos, here accompanied by Tomás and Colonel Santos López; Santos López who is the vital link between the battle of our General Sandino and the continuity of the struggle that led to the birth of the Sandinista National Liberation Front. That is, the battle of Sandino taken up again by Carlos and the Sandinista Front.
Carlos was born back in 1936, in Matagalpa. And in this month of June, from June 23rd 1963, between June and October the guerrillas began in Río Coco and Bocay. That was the first guerrilla action of the Sandinista National Liberation Front.
In 1963 the Sandinista Front was born out of these battles. And Colonel Santos López was there at the front, there was Tomás and Modesto Duarte, who managed to occupy some communities in the Río Coco area, in Walaquistan, in Raiti.
Well, it was a guerrilla group that was just being born, but then came the offensive of the army imposed by the Yankees in Nicaragua, and in those combats fell the Sandinista brothers, founders of the Sandinista Front, Francisco Buitrago, Jorge Navarro, Iván Sánchez, Boanerges Santamaría, Modesto Duarte and Faustino Ruiz “El Cuje” fell. Their blood was spilled there, for Life, for the Life of the Nicaraguan People!
We expected the Revolution would triumph, but many Compañer@s did not expect to live to see it, and for those of us who lived through those days, later, thanks to our inexperience, we simply did not expect to see the perversion and evil of imperialist greed raging again in our lands. These were times of great learning…! And for us now these days are also days to honor the Sacred Blood that has been paid out of our blood, our hearts and our convictions, our willingness to continue striving, for as long as God gives us life, health and strength to do so.
And in this month of June, in 1979, fighting took place all over Nicaragua, and there was aerial bombardment here in Managua, and Comandante Francisco Rivera “El Zorro” was at the head of the guerrilla columns in Esteli. And there was fighting on the Southern Front. There was fighting in León, in Chinandega, around the Mining Towns, and throughout Nicaragua. It was the force of Sandino, it was Carlos’s Force, the force of Colonel Santos López, multiplied throughout Nicaragua.
And also on June 23rd, in 2009, we cannot forget that extraordinary creator and artist, the creator of the Son Nica, Camilo Zapata. And he is present here too. Camilo passed away on June 23, 2009, a day like today, but Camilo is here with his Song, illuminating the battles of this country’s People, the battles of this country’s Youth.
The truth is that these days, these dates mark innumerable feats of our People and of all the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. We have only to remember that we are on the eve of that heroic battle, a gigantic battle, which meant the end of Spain’s dominance in our America: the Battle of Carabobo, with General Simón Bolívar at its head.
And in these days of June, on June 24, that is, tomorrow, we are on the eve, look at what an important date, and it seems incredible that this miracle occurred at the time, because on that day, on that date, the Federation of United Provinces of Central America was created, uniting Central America! Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, one Nation, one People.
What today remains a challenge, remains a dream, for it is a challenge, to achieve as well as Latin American and Caribbean unity to also achieve the unity of the Central American Peoples. We are Brothers, we were born together in the fight against the Spanish invasion, in the resistance against the invaders, in the battles against Yankee expansionism. It was Central America with Nicaragua at the head that defeated the Filibusters here in Nicaragua.
But in fact there are innumerable battles that it would be long to list. And today, in this year when we are at the birth of a New World, indeed, a New World is being born, all births are painful and this is a birth for Humanity, burying Imperialism for Democracy to be born through Multilateralism. The world’s Peoples growing, becoming stronger in the face of the death throes and spasms of Imperialism. We are witnesses, Sisters and Brothers, to that miracle, which is the miracle of the Resurrection.
Today is Father’s Day, for who else but humanity’s greatest Father, one that all of us have: Christ! Christ! Christ giving his Life for the People, for the poor, for the humble, and being insulted, slandered, by the false priests in the temples, who were the ones regarded as legitimate.
Since Christ had no temple, they denied his legitimacy, believing Christ was coming to supplant them from their temples so as to become the owner of the temples… No! Christ came to lift up the soul, the spirit of the impoverished, of peasants, of workers, of Humanity, for Peace and for Freedom. That is the Father, Our Father in Heaven… Our Father who art in heaven!
And great fathers too, Father Bolívar, Father Sandino, Father Zeledón, Father José Dolores Estrada, Father Andrés Castro, casting the stone in defense of the Sovereignty of our Nation, of our People.
Today is a day for all those fathers who love the great family that is the Nicaraguan family, the fathers who defend the Sovereignty of the great family that is the Nicaraguan family, with which we join too all the Peoples, all the Nations in the World defending the Sovereignty of their Peoples.
And really we are living an extraordinary, fantastic, magical, divine moment of the Resurrection of Christ now, with the Resurrection of Humanity. Imperialism is falling and the world’s Peoples are emerging from its tombs, the world’s Peoples are being born again, those Peoples are uniting and exercising true Democracy in the World, for Peace, for Justice, for Freedom.
